Cats in small apartments deal with real, specific problems that most general pet-care content ignores — where does the litter box go when there’s no spare bathroom, how do you give a cat vertical space when you can’t spare any floor, what actually earns back the square footage it takes up. That’s the gap SmallSpaceCat exists to fill.
We’re cat people first. Like a lot of cat owners, we found out the hard way that there’s a huge amount of cat gear out there — trees, wall shelves, litter boxes, enrichment toys — and very little honest guidance on which of it is actually worth your money and your limited space. Most reviews read like they were written by someone who’s never lived with a cat in under 700 square feet.
So we started SmallSpaceCat as a place to do two things:
- Share practical, tested-in-real-life tips for keeping a cat happy and stimulated in a small home, based on what actually works, not generic advice.
- Point out specific products — mostly cat toys and furniture — that we think are genuinely worth considering, so you don’t have to spend hours digging through Amazon reviews yourself.
When we recommend something, it’s because we think it solves a real small-space problem, not because it’s the most expensive option or the one with the flashiest packaging. Some of the links on this site are Amazon affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you — that’s how we keep this site running. You can read the full details on our Privacy Policy page.
We’re not veterinarians, and nothing here should replace advice from your cat’s vet — we’re just cat owners sharing what’s worked for us, so you can make your own well-informed decisions about what your cat actually needs.
